Aoun: Granting complete telecom data a “crime” against the constitution
Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun announced on Tuesday that granting complete telecom data is a "crime" itself against the constitution, adding that the move violates the people's privacy.

“Telecom data pertaining to crime and punishment can only be granted following the order of the judiciary council”, Aoun added following his bloc’s weekly meeting.

The FPM leader warned that telecom data in its entirety can cause personal infringement.

MP Aoun stressed that “nobody has the right to infringe of people’s privacy”, adding that phone tapping is illegal in countries across the world. “Why should we grant them the legality to monitor calls?”, he wondered.

Commenting on the EDL issue, Aoun confirmed that, according to his bloc, the case is solved.
