Interior Minister announces Jamali’s victory in Tripoli’s by-elections

Minister of Interior Rayya al-Hassan announced that candidate Dima Jamali won the parliamentary by-elections in the northern city of Tripoli with 19387 votes.

Al-Hassan’s comments were made during a press conference whereby she noted that the turnout was 12.55%.

She also stressed that 241534persons were eligible to vote, while only 33963 cast their votes, adding that 2648 votes were canceled and 1951 voters cast blank papers.
