The public transport returned to the forefront during Thursday’s cabinet session, when Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil criticized the lack of plan in this regard, prompting Public Works Minister Youssef Finianos to respond, saying that the plan has been in place since 2016, but it needs funding.
In this context, Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that Cedre Conference allocated funds for the public transportation sector.
