Foreign Ministry sources told LBCI that the meeting between Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Satterfield was more than positive and tackled the latest developments in the region, including the situation in the Gulf region.
The sources explained that the discussions also tackled the demarcation of the land and maritime borders, where the pair presented their opinions that included several common grounds. They also outlined the main issues that could hinder the plan proposed by Lebanon.
The same sources noted that Bassil gave Bassil a number of solutions that preserve Lebanon’s land and maritime lands and serve its national interest.
