Sources from the Foreign Ministry revealed to LBCI that Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, David Satterfield delivered Israel’s response to the Lebanese proposal related to the demarcation of the land and maritime borders, noting that the Israeli approval came according to the Lebanese proposal.
“No radical problems or obstacles are hindering the implementation of the Lebanese proposal; but the matter requires more round trips,” the sources added.
“We started putting the final touches on the form of negotiations and the role of the concerned parties, including the United Nations, Lebanon and Israel, as well as the role of the Unites States,” they continued.
