Sources close to Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that the Military Court’s final proceedings on Thursday came as a political message to Maj. Gen. Imad Othman, refusing to mention any dispute between the Future Movement and the Free Patriotic Movement.
The remark came after the Military Court on Thursday acquitted ISF officer Suzanne al-Hajj Hobeish of all accusations in the case of Ziad Itani framing.
In turn, FPM sources told LBCI that the movement does not have any political covers in this regard, deeming the court’s decision as a judicial issue.
The sources stressed that the FPM does not intervene in the work of the judiciary.
