Public Health Minister Jamil Jabak declared that he briefed Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai on all the measures taken by the ministry and the long-term plan, noting that the meeting was fruitful and successful.
Speaking from Bkerke, Jabak said that the austerity measures did not affect the Health Ministry’s budget, “but on the contrary the budget dedicated from medicines and hospitalization has been increased.”
He added that the funds will be transferred to the hospitals’ accounts as a first payment within 48 hours, noting that any delay will be caused by logistic matters.
