Member of the “Strong Lebanon” bloc MP Eddy Maalouf said Monday that the issue of the appointments is a priority at the moment, stating that the cabinet should start working to fill the vacancies within the state.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Maalouf explained that, according to the Constitution, a minister proposes 3 names and the cabinet makes the final decisions concerning the appointments, stressing that “the issue of the appointment is a game of democracy and it is normal for political agreements to take place in this regard to get a bigger number of these appointments.”
The deputy also emphasized that the notion of exclusion and monopoly in this regard is not true.
