Iranian official after meeting Berri: Lebanon must stay away from regional crises

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Wednesday with the International affairs aide of Iran’s parliament speaker Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Ain el-Tineh.

Following the meeting, the Iranian official said that the meeting comes to “reiterate Iran’s support to the Lebanese people, the army, the Resistance and the government.”

“We look forward to develop the ties between the two countries on the highest levels,” he added.

Abdollahian also stressed necessity of Lebanon staying away from all regional crises.

“We are confident that security in Lebanon is security for the region and for the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he noted.

He also said that “some threats and activities carried out by the Zionist enemy are not in favor of security in the region.”
