Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that a positive progress has been registered regarding the land and maritime border demarcation, noting that 90% of the agreement has been placed, including 7 points. He added that one point remains under discussion and it concerns the simultaneous implementation of the land and maritime demarcation.
MP Ali Bazzi cited Berri’s optimism over the possibility of a final solution in this regard.
During Wednesday’s deputies gathering, he voiced surprised over the failure to call for a cabinet session, given that there are matters that require the cabinet to convene, mainly the Palestinian issue.
On another note, sources told LBCI that Berri signed the budget law and referred it to the president, adding that it is expected to be issued this Thursday in the Official Gazette.
