Member of the Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Bazzi declared that Speaker Nabih Berri stressed during Wednesday’s deputies gathering that he will not allow anything to divide the Lebanese people and harm the country, emphasizing the need to reach a complete and comprehensive reconciliation and to hold cabinet sessions without tackling the Qabrchmoun incident.
Bazzi quoted Berri as saying that the political, security and financial stability is required by everyone, “especially because the international institutions have been carefully watching Lebanon.”
On another note, the MP stated that the dues will be paid to the municipalities after Eid al-Adha and before the end of the month.
Concerning the Qabrchmoun case, Ain al-Tineh sources said that there is no dispute between Berri and Aoun, pointing out that the speaker will not intervene after the president said that the case has reached him.
