Mikati calls on cabinet to convene August 29

PM Najib Mikati called on the cabinet Thursday to convene on August 29 at the Grand Serail.

The cabinet is expected to hold another session on September 5 at the presidential palace to discuss the pay scale issue.

Mikati earlier held a series of meetings as part of his efforts to follow up on the security situation in the country, particularly in Tripoli.

He also contacted security leaders, stressing the importance of pressing ahead with all necessary measures to control the situation and secure a ceasefire.
