Nasrallah: Hezbollah does not support resignation of current Cabinet

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Saturday a televised speech whereby he said that his party does not support the resignation of the current Lebanese Cabinet.

“The country cannot afford the luxury of a new Cabinet formation,” Nasrallah stressed.

He called on the officials to draw lessons from the events that took place during the past two days, adding that a technocrat government "will not last for even two week."

Nasrallah said that Lebanese officials “must be convinced that the Lebanese people can no longer afford any new fees and taxes."

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that everyone in Lebanon, who “is in power and those outside power,” must take responsibility for the dangerous situation that the country has reached.

He also noted that the deteriorating financial and economic situation is not the result of the policies during the past 3 years, but an accumulation over many years.

“You have to choose either economic and financial collapse or popular collapse,” he stressed.
