Hbeish to LBCI: Asking the UN to deploy troops in the north is an option

Future bloc MP Hadi Hbeish held the government responsible for the shells that were fired from Syria at northern Lebanese border towns in Akkar. Hbeish called on the government to give the army immediate instructions to put an end to these attacks.

Hbeish told Nharkom Said on Monday that March 14 is looking into the option of asking the U.N. to deploy its troops along the northern borders “since the government disassociated itself from the protection of civilians from Syrian shells.”
