Accident kills woman on Sarba highway, 16-year-old kidnapped in Hannawi

An unidentified woman was hit by a black Hummer Jeep on the western side of Sarba’s highway in front of the Makhlouf factory on Wednesday.

The woman died instantly and her body was transferred to Bouar’s governmental hospital.

The ISF’s Directorate of Information called on citizens who saw the accident to come forth with any information that would help identify the driver. The Directorate also urged the victim’s relatives to head to the above-mentioned hospital to identify her and to contact Jounieh’s police department.

Separately, Mohammad Ali al-Jouban, a 16-year-old Syrian national residing in the town of Hannawi, was found missing on Tuesday night. His family members, who reported his disappearance to the area’s police department, said that they received an unknown SMS reading that their son has been abducted by unidentified persons.
