Former Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn told LBCI that he will fully cooperate with Lebanese judiciary, noting that he is more comfortable with it than the Japanese judiciary.
In an exclusive interview with LBCI, Ghosn said that the Japanese judicial system is old, adding that there are thousands of oppressed people in jails there.
“It was ‘natural’ that the Japanese would be unconvinced by my statements,” he said, stressing that Japan's justice minister, who said allegations in his news conference were not backed up by any real evidence, were "ridiculous”.
“I am not a politician and I do not want to get involved in politics but I am totally ready to help Lebanon with my expertise; I was honored when PSP chief Walid Jumblatt suggested by name for the energy ministry, but I am not intending to enter politics,” he said.
