Pope visits Lebanon to convey message of peace

In his Angelus address, Pope Benedict XVI announced Sunday that he will be heading to Lebanon from September 14 to September 16 to convey a message of peace, calling on all parties involved in the Middle Eastern conflicts to engage in dialogue and reconciliation.

The Pope said in French that his pastoral visit to Lebanon and to the Middle East is taking place under the slogan of peace, pointing out that all concerned parties must prioritize commitment to dialogue and reconciliation.
