Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni met on Tuesday with a delegation of the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) chaired by Salim Sfeir.
Talks reportedly featured high over banking affairs after the banks' decision to close until March 29 and Wazni’s rejection to such a decision.
It was agreed upon the demand of Minister Wazni to open a number of branches of each bank starting tomorrow (Wednesday), as well as to organize work shifts and to carry out all required measures to meet people's needs.
The ABL also asserted its commitment to the Cabinet’s decision of shutdown and to protect the customers and employees’ health.
