Charbel briefs Sleiman on security situation

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel met with President Michel Sleiman at the Baabda Palace on Friday and briefed him on the security situation Friday. Sleiman commended the military and security apparatuses for their efforts to maintain security mainly by chasing and arresting those behind the recent abductions through following the cabinet’s directives.

Charbel also informed Sleiman of the latest preparations for the administrative decentralization bill that is due to be referred to cabinet.

On another note, Sleiman met with Education Minister Hassan Diab to discuss the educational situation with the start of the academic year and the appointment of deans for different faculties of the Lebanese University.
