Decisions of the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday read by Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad:

The Cabinet held its periodic session at the Grand Serail, headed by Prime Minister, Dr. Hassan Diab, and discussed the items on the agenda.

Attendees followed up on the use of Ghosta plant for sorting and treating household solid waste, while negotiations are undergoing with the owner company of the plant.

Ministers of Industry, Tourism, Economy and Trade, and Agriculture then gave a presentation of the main axes in support of the economic plan, and means to enhance investments in the productive sectors.

The Cabinet also reviewed McKinsey's plan for the economic sector.

It has then been decided to extend the state of general mobilization to fight the spread of the coronavirus, based on the decisions of the Higher Defense Council, from May 25, 2020 to June 7, 2020 included. Measures are to be implemented in accordance with the procedures intended for the third phase.

The Council finally approved the request of the Ministry of Agriculture in terms of renewing the contracts of contractual teachers (per hour) in agriculture public schools for the academic year 2019-2020 with teachers and trainers from previous years.
