Jumblatt: Arab and International communities contribute to Syria's demise

Progressive Socialist Party leader, MP Walid Jumblatt said on Thursday that burning the General Staff building in Damascus' Umayyad Square means that Syria and its army will sink into chaos and civil war. He described the scene as “a sad extract to be added to the series of miserable scenes of the country's drama”.

Jumblatt noted in a statement that the international community has been delivering countless, futile statements while the Arab community floods with “Jihadist Brigades” at the expense of rebels; the secular and the moderate.

“Here they are, on the Arab and international levels, contributing to Syria's demise, each its own way”, he said.
