Shortage in school books negatively impacts school year in Yemen
The repercussions of the recent incidents in Yemen were not only limited to the security and political situation, but also had an impact on the educational body, particularly on the process of printing school books.

With the start of the academic year, schools are suffering from a shortage in books, which could have negative effects on the students’ performance.

In this context, a teacher at a school in Sanaa, Abdel Khalek al-Srayhi stressed that “they are facing a big problem, though they have distributed a number of used books”.

The school year in Yemen is clearly on the edge, while it seems the students will be the ones paying the price of war.
