Bahraini Shiite activist arrested against the backdrop of demonstrations Friday

Bahraini lawyers reported that Bahrain's Interior Ministry arrested today Shiite activist Mohammed Al-Maskati, turning him over to the public prosecutor for investigations.              

Maskati heads the Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights, and is active in monitoring and documenting what it says are violations against protesters.
