Security forces arrest thief with 10 million dollars worth of stolen goods

A unit from the Southern Suburb and Baabda Judicial Police arrested in the town of Katermaya, a member of a gang which stole safes from houses and commercial institutions in several regions in Mount Lebanon, in the South and Beirut. It was reported that the value of the stolen goods reached at least 10 million US Dollars.

After interrogations, the detainee confessed to carrying out 24 operations targeting iron safes, adding that he cooperated with other individuals. It was also revealed that he had previous offenses according to several judicial warrants issued against him.
