Hariri: Oqab Saqr is in charge of following up on Syria's situation

The office of the former Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed on Thursday that MP Oqab Saqr is tasked with following up on the situation in Syria and coordinating with the Syrian opposition's political powers, regarding the media and political support of the Future Movement for the Syrian people, particularly, providing the injured and the homeless with humanitarian aid.                          

Hariri's office issued a statement in response to the smear campaign launched against the Future Movement by Hezbollah and its media, accusing it of being involved in the ongoing conflict in Syria. The statement noted that MP Oqab Saqr is in charge of offering assistance to every Lebanese national in Syria, as well as contributing, alongside the Turkish authorities in the efforts deployed in order to release the Lebanese hostages in Syria.     

Hariri's office pointed that the Lebanese people are well aware of the nature of Hezbollah's involvement in what it has been calling the "duty of Jihad" with the "Syrian killing machine which is controlling the Syrian people", adding that this crime can no longer be covered.
