REPORT: Details of the attack against Syrian workers in Ramle Bayda

Four cars and more than ten motorcycles stopped on Wednesday near "Nora Residence" workshop in Ramle Bayda, with over twenty Lebanese citizens stepping out of them, according to the accounts of the Syrian workers who were later attacked.

Holding knives, machetes and sticks the men proceeded to attack all the workers, leaving ten Syrians injured. Before entering the room where the remaining workers were sleeping, some managed to escape finding refuge at a school near the workshop.

Following the incident, the shock seemed to have taken over the workers who refused to appear in front of the camera. They denied having any disputes with  anyone, stating that they have been working in construction fields in Lebanon for over two years.

The circumstances of the incident remain unclear, but what is perfectly clear is that the Syrian nationals can no longer find a safe place to stay wherever they go.
