Jaber to LBCI: Berri plays a pivotal role in Lebanon’s stability

Development and Liberation MP Yassin Jaber said on Friday that House Speaker Nabih Berri and Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea are on good terms, stressing that the latter is considered as the instigator of the latest verbal bouts against Berri by statements made from his part stating that he “can no longer bear Berri as House Speaker”.

Jaber said that Berri’s response was gentle, adding “the political status of Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea prevents him from being a neutral President.”

Jaber told Nharkom Said on Friday that reaching an electoral law is difficult without serious talks in this regard. “Geagea is acting as if he were the guarantor of the elections.”

Jaber stressed that House Speaker Nabih Berri is playing a pivotal role in Lebanon’s stability, adding that everyone must unanimously commit to this stability.
