LAF implements security measures around places of worship

The Lebanese Armed Forces started on Thursday the implementation of extraordinary security measures on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, around places of worship, main roads, shopping centers, public institutions, touristic places and Arab and foreign embassies, in order to reassure citizens and maintain civil peace.                   

According to a statement issued by the Guidance Directorate of the Lebanese Army Command the aforementioned measures include the deployment of army members and patrols, as well as the set up of fixed and mobile checkpoints.
