Jumblatt condemns Iskenderun blast, slams Syrian regime as culprit

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt condemned the blast which rocked the Turkish city of Iskenderun yesterday.

Jumblatt said that the blast lies within the framework of the Syrian regime's threats to blow up neighboring countries for many different purposes: "first, divert the world's attention from the Syrian revolution; second, avenge the Turkish political stances which support the revolution and refuse the killing and humiliation of the Syrian people and third, avenge Turkey for sheltering tens of thousands of innocent Syrian people who left their country for fear of the systematic killing machine used by the cold-blooded Syrian regime which destroyed Syria with its history, heritage, economy and infrastructure."
