REPORT: Employees unfairly dismissed from PAC raise the voice from Adma

397 employees were dismissed from the Production and Acquisition Company (PAC) 6 months ago without any sort of compensation. The majority of PAC’s stock is owned by Saudi businessmen Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

6 months have passed by and these unfairly dismissed employees are still waiting for the compensations agreed upon under the patronage of the Labor Minister.

These employees, whose livelihood has become threatened in light of the country’s deteriorating economic conditions, chose to walk from the PAC building in Kfaryasin to the LBCI building in Adma under the slogan “Cheyef Halak”, in a bid to urge those concerned to pay their compensations and salaries due since March 2012.

They gathered in LBCI’s external parking lot to say: “We want our sacred right; we will not waive it or accept that it be compromised.”

In this regard, Clovis Choueifati, one of the dismissed employees, stressed that the peaceful protests will continue until employees are granted their “sacred and legitimate rights.”

Will the person behind this social tragedy heed the cry of those employees who dedicated years of their life working for this institution?
