Gunfire targets Arsal Mayor whilst driving

The Mayor of the Bekaa Valley border town of Arsal Ali Mohammad al-Houjayri was subject to gunfire on Sunday while he was driving his GMC past an Iranian firm in Rasm al-Hadath on the international highway linking Baalbek with Syria.

The shooter managed to escape towards an unknown direction, while al-Houjayri filed a complaint with the Internal Security Forces to reveal the circumstances of the accident.

In a separate incident, citizen Charbel Daher Taouk filed a complaint with the Internal Security Forces in Bcharre, against an unknown assailant who opened fire at his car which was parked near his house.

The citizen presented photos of the car hit by bullets, as the security forces launched investigations to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
