French Ambassador lays wreath on tomb of late Brig. Gen. al-Hassan

French Ambassador to Lebanon Patrice Paoli paid his respect to late Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan on Monday by laying garland on his tomb upon the request of French President Francois Holland.                           

An official reception ceremony was held under the auspices of Deputies Ammar Houri, Serge Torsarkissian, and Ziad Qadri.                         

Ambassador Paoli said that this initiative is to assure France's support to the sovereignty and unity of Lebanon and to honor the memory of a "man who devoted his life to his country".
