Hobeich to LBCI: threats will not deter me from my work

Deputy Hadi Hobeich said on Tuesday that the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rai recognized the need of forming a new cabinet that serves all the Lebanese people.       

He mentioned that Patriarch Rai stressed on the importance of supporting the Lebanese president and said that his party agrees with the Patriarch on this choice.                    

Talking to LBCI during Nharkom Said Hobeich said that the March14 forces are advocates of the national dialogue.                       

He also mentioned that they are against the 1960's electoral law, but "do not mind applying another electoral law that suits all Lebanese people."                   

In another context, Hobeich said that a dark car without a number plate intercepted the vehicle of his father on Kfarhbab road, Former Deputy Fawzi Hobeich.                                        

When they did not find him in the car, they relayed a message to his father via his driver asking him to tell his son to "lay low".                     

Hobeich concluded saying that such messages will not deter him from his priorities.             

Meanwhile security sources confirmed to LBCI that the Information Division of the ISF is taking the issue very seriously.                 

The sources pointed out that President Michel Sleiman called the Director General of the Internal Security Forces Major General Ashraf Rifi, asking him to give this matter utmost importance.               

Rifi confirmed to the President and Deputy Hobeish that the Information Division will pursue this matter until all circumstances are revealed.
