March14 general secretariat calls for declaring Sidon a military area

The General Secretariat of March14 asked on Wednesday for declaring Sidon a military area in light of the recent clashes that erupted in the area.

The Secretariat said that these clashes were expected to happen due to the spread of all kinds of illegal weaponry in the country along with extremist speeches and behaviors from one side and the state’s failure in carrying out its duties from the other.

After its weekly meeting, the General Secretariat asked President Michel Sleiman to decisively intervene on the basis of national security and the state’s higher interests to conduct judicial investigations and arrest perpetrators in Sidon’s incidents.

The Secretariat added that corruption as demonstrated thought the latest medications scandal and one pertaining to electricity that the government in incapable of proper rule.

March14’s Secretariat concluded saying that the last speech delivered by the Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah serves only the interests of foreign countries.
