Arab foreign ministers meet to discuss situation in Gaza

A meeting for the Arab foreign ministers kicked off Saturday in Cairo to discuss the Israeli offensive on Gaza.

In this regard, Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour stressed that Israel should know that this time, its actions will not go unpunished. Mansour called for withdrawing ambassadors from Israel, cutting off relations and abolishing all bilateral agreements.

In turn, Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby said that there will be no solution, security or peace in the region if the Israeli occupation does not come to an end. Elaraby pledged to stand by the Palestinian people by lifting the siege on Gaza.

For his part, Palestinian Foreign Minister called for an emergency Arab summit to discuss the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza, urging all Palestinian factions to unify their ranks.

As for Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem, he said “our meetings have become a waste of time and money; what we need in a clear policy to deal with the case of Palestine.”

Egyptian Foreign Minister said that it high time to reconsider all strategies related to relations with Israel.
