Aridi from Rabieh: We are against Lebanon's intervention in Syrian affairs

National Struggle Front Minister Ghazi Aridi said on Friday, that they reached some common points with General Aoun regarding dialogue, stressing that they will be meeting with other political groups including Fouad Siniora and members of the Future bloc.

Following a meeting held between a NSF delegation and the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun in Rabieh, Aridi noted that their movements do not aim at changing the government, adding that their initiative is not elusive but seeks a genuine solution to the country's crisis. "The road to consensus starts when all factions move towards protecting stability," he said.

On the other hand, He stressed that the elections must be held on due time according to the constitution, stating that they have not given up on discussing the electoral law.

In this context, Aridi said that relations with Saudi Arabia were never based on electoral gains.

Commenting on the Syrian crisis, Aridi noted that they are against on ground intervention in Syrian affairs, stressing their support  for Lebanon's self distancing policy remain steadfast.

The NSF delegation included Ministers Alaeddine Terro, Wael Abou Faour and Ghazy Aridi, and PSP official Zafer Nasser.
