LAF deploys in Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh

The Lebanese Army deployed widely on Monday in both regions of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh in Tripoli and set up permanent checkpoints, conducted motorized patrols in Syria Street and foot and motorized patrols on the main road linking Tripoli with Akkar and along the road between Mallouleh and Jabal Mohsen.

However, all forms of armed manifestations were removed from the streets, while normality started to be restored in the city, traffic was normal and the commercial shops and public and private institutions opened their doors as usual.

In this context, sources told LBCI that the security plan approved by the Supreme Defense Council yesterday will be executed over two phases.

The first phase will be finalized today, with the second implemented subsequently with large-scale raids against arms warehouses as well as issuing arrest warrants against gunmen and those mobilizing the military axes in the city high on the agenda.
