Aoun: politics corrupt everything; many appointments still pending

Head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun stressed on Thursday that politics are being corrupted, noting that not only the issue of the contracted teachers is pending, but also the issue of the appointments since it has never been placed on the cabinet's table. He added that the President Michel Sleiman should be the one who places the items to be discussed during the cabinet sessions.                 

During his meeting with a delegation from the Lebanese University's contracted teachers, Aoun hoped that they will be granted their demands as a "Christmas gift".                

In this context, Aoun noted that reports say that the reasons behind the delay in resolving this issue are sectarian; refusing any accusations targeting him of causing such delay.
