Mufti Qabbani heads Muslim Scholars' meeting

The Association of Muslim Scholars held on Saturday an extended meeting under the chairmanship of the Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani, amid the current debate regarding the fate of the Mufti's call for holding elections for the Higher Islamic Legal Council on 30th of December.               

In this context, Qabbani stressed the importance of the Scholars' message and mission, expressing his surprise over the fact that some of the Scholars allow others to exert pressure on them.
