REPORT: Israel’s concern over use of chemical weapons in Syria grows

While US and Israeli reports emerge about the escalating concerns over the use of chemical weapons in Syria, the United Nations sent chemical weapons kits to UN troops in the ceasefire region and the Israeli Army intensified its discussions to make preparations in case the situation witnesses further deterioration.           

In this context, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his confirmation that his country is closely monitoring everything related to the Syrian chemical weapons, stressing that his government is conducting negotiations with Washington in order to find means to face the danger of using these weapons.           

In addition to the Israeli intelligence reports claiming to have accurate information regarding the Syrian chemical weapons, the air force promoted the use of modern cameras placed on unmanned drones capable of taking high-quality photos, even in the dark. These cameras are placed on drones used for explosions and assassinations.              

The Israeli promotion for the dangers of the Syrian crisis continues as an Israeli channel broadcasted a report made by its correspondent whereby he declared that he sneaked with his assistant to Syria in coordination with members of the Free Syrian Army and rebels. The report showed tours made by the Israeli reporter in the locations of the rebels and interviewed them, stressing that they were aware of his Israeli identity. The reporter expressed his relief while broadcasting the statements of the rebels, who said that they are ready not only to cooperate with Jews, but also to accept Ariel Sharon if he declares that he is against the Syrian President Bashar Assad.
