British writer Rushdie placed on respirator, may lose one eye-[REPORT]
British writer Salman Rushdie was placed on a respirator on Friday after he was stabbed several times during a conference in western New York, his agent told the New York Times.

The newspaper quoted Andrew Wylie as saying that "news are not good and Salman may lose one eye, the nerves of his arm has been severed and his liver has been stabbed and damaged."
