REPORT: March 14 forces: will they end their boycott?

The March 14 forces decided on Monday to participate in the meetings of the Parliamentary committee charged with discussing the electoral law. In order to remove all security concerns, March 14 forces will be staying at a hotel where a security cordon will be set up.

In this context, Future bloc MP Ammar Houry told LBCI that March 14 forces do not believe that the place where the meetings will be held should not be considered as an obstacle to these meetings.

Houry added that after examining the situation of the parliamentary meetings, they will decide whether or not to end their boycott of the cabinet.

For his part, Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra told LBCI that the cabinet has nothing to do with the sub-committee, noting that holding the meetings in the Parliament or in a hotel is not a fundamental issue.

Zahra stressed that an electoral law could be approved without ending the boycott.
