Ghosn: We should not underestimate the gravity of status quo repercussions

Minister of Defense Fayez Ghosn said Thursday that dealing with the issue of Syrian displaced is based on humanitarian, social and security-related considerations, stressing that the concerned ministries will expand, coordinate and speed up their effort to follow up on this case.

“We must not underestimate the gravity of the possible repercussions of the status quo in Lebanon,” he said adding that this situation might pave the way for gunmen and terrorists to enter Lebanon and try to sabotage its security.

Ghosn confirmed that security forces took a series of important measures and precautions in this regard.
