Launching of a national campaign to increase green areas

The Environment Ministry launched on Thursday the national campaign to increase green areas in the cities, in the participation of Minister Nazem al-Khoury, the US ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly, the Association of Graduates of the Middle Eastern-Lebanese Partnership Initiative and the Municipality of Beirut.          

The campaign includes setting up a strategic plan seeking to develop Beirut and a master plan to change the look of the al-Mdawar - Karantina region, as well as programs aiming at restructuring public parks and green areas, with the participation of the private sector.
