Post Olga weather report

The snow storm gradually started to recede on Friday as the weather for the day is expected to be partly cloudy with a rise in temperature, according to the Beirut Airport -based Meteorology Department.     


Weather report:    

Beirut: Partly cloudy; clear visibility        

Metn regions: Clear to semi-clear visibility; roads are only open for cars equipped with snow chains and SUVs due to icy roads. Ehmej – Annaya – Ras Osta road, Laqlouq – Tannourine road and Tarchich Zahle are blocked due to the accumulation of snow.     

Ouyoun al-Siman: Snowfall, bad visibility, roads from Mayrouba to Ouyoun al-Siman are open for equipped cars and SUV. Blocked roads: Mayrouba – Ehmez and Ouyoun al-Siman – Hadath Baalbek.    

Chouf regions: Cloudy, semi-clear visibility; all roads are open for SUVs and cars equipped with snow chains except for the Maaser el-Chouf – Kefraya road. 

Dahr el Baydar: Snowfall, semi-clear visibility, roads open for SUVs and equipped cars.  

Zahle: Cloudy, clear visibility, all roads are open for SUVs and equipped cars except for the Zahle – Dhour Chouwair road which is cut-off due to snow accumulation.     

Baalbek: Cloudy to snowy; roads are open for SUVs and equipped cars except for the following roads blocked due to snow accumulation: Aynata – Arz, Hadath Baalbek – Ouyoun al Siman, Hadath Baalbek – Afqa, Hermel – Qobayat, Hermel – Sir el-Donniyeh, Dar al-Was’a – Yammouneh, Ham – Maarboun.  

Arz and Tannourine: Cloudy, bad visibility, all roads are icy and blocked due to the accumulation of snow.       

South Lebanon, specifically Sidon and Tyre: Cloudy, bad visibility but all roads are open.
