Berri: I will not spare any effort to reach agreement over electoral law

The Wednesday Deputies' Gathering headed by House Speaker Nabih Berri aimed at further discussing the electoral law and the sub-committee's work, as well as the negotiations and talks conducted by Berri with various leaders to reach common grounds and perhaps a consensus over the electoral code.

"No efforts will be spared in this regard," Berri reiterated, stressing the importance of cooperation amongst the country's political parties to solve the electoral problem and hold the legislative elections on time.

Separately, Berri met with Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi, and discussed economic and financial affairs.

He also received a delegation of Zahle Deputies including Antoine Abou Khater, Elie Marouni, Joseph Maalouf, Assem Araji and Shant Janjanian.
