REPORT: Tweeters attack PM Mikati for refusing to discuss civil marriage

The anti-civil marriage stances voiced by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati triggered a chain of reactions on social media platforms, after he openly declared that the issue of the civil marriage is currently not up for discussions.

Twitter users slammed the Prime Minister, demanding to be granted the right to call for a secular state, without sparing their comments flagrant irony and mockery.

On the other hand, other activists said that Mikati's refusal to discuss the civil marriage issue is a 'disgraceful' position.
