Introduction to the evening news 24-01-2013

When the national campaign for electoral reform made a sarcastic video about "The Republic of Baalbek Hermel", "Maronistan State" and "State of Tripoli", it was using the exaggeration approach to warn against the dangers of the Orthodox gathering's draft law. However, it seems that the effects of this electoral draft law began to appear on the ground, even before being approved by the Parliament.              

A ski trip almost tuned into a big national crisis, only because Sheikh Ahmad Assir was the trip's organizer and his the destination was Keserwan Mountains.                    

All these developments took place while the elections are still at the very primary stages. These stages do not bode well as long as the race for Parliamentary seats is ongoing over the ruins of what is left of pluralism and coexistence, and as long as the electoral projects are limited to raise horror and spread hatred towards the other who is banned from electing candidates from another sect, banned from finding shelter even if he was escaping hell, only because he holds another nationality.
