Al-Kadiri to LBCI: Hariri’s initiative takes all fears into account
Future bloc MP Ziad al-Kadiri said on Friday that the initiative of former PM Saad Hariri is based on 3 pillars: the Christians’ presence, weapons and the specificity of National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt.     

“His proposal preserves both the Taif agreement and the constitution and makes sure Lebanon does not fall in the trap of Iranian hegemony.”   

Al-Kadiri told Nharkom Said that an electoral law based on proportional representation would be useless in areas controlled by weapons, considering that the Orthodox Gathering’s law is “the most dangerous of all.”         

Al-Kadiri voiced his surprise at the proposal of the March 8 coalition which, according to him, “is disregarding the harm it would cause to the country.”
