Mikati after meeting Berri: We have amicable ties with all Gulf countries

House Speaker Nabih Berri met with PM Najib Mikati in Ain El Tineh on Sunday whereby they discussed an array of issues.

Following the meeting, Mikati announced that discussions tackled the different electoral draft laws.

“On the issue of Bahrain, the stance I made following consultations with President Michel Sleiman is a personal opinion,” he said adding that even MP Michel Aoun stressed that his opinion is personal and does not represent the government’s point of view.

“Therefore, in virtue of the national dialogue body’s meeting and the Baabda Declaration, the government is committed to impartiality in regards to all regional issues; we have excellent amicable relations based on respect with all Gulf countries,” he said.
